While I was searching for a book in the closet, I found two works of my Chinese painting accidentally. These two pieces reminded me that I haven’t wrote calligraphy for a long while. So, I gave it a try tonight.

I couldn’t believe that I spent one hour or so for one page because I used to finish it like 30 minutes long. Maybe I really haven’t practiced enough recently.

There are two reasons that I like it very much. First, it’s simple, black words with red lines. Second, I’ve developed my patience by writing calligraphy. It makes you to be calm and peaceful.

Writing calligraphy you really have to focus on it, so every single line will perfect combine together as a “word.” If your mind is not clear enough, oh ha! you will see how it looks ”interesting” later :p Also, my teacher said, ”it’s better to have a quiet atmosphere to write calligraphy.” However, I prefer to do it with my favorite music. So, I think it depends, right?

p.s. After tonight, I think I need to add one more assignment for myself.
