i’ve got my watch back on this wed.

it’s working very well until now.

the watch cost me eur 101 and now i spent around eur 33 (ntd 1500) to fix it.

well, it’s probably nothing for the most of people. but it does mean something to me.

it’s a memory between my boss and me.

anyways, i just hope my dear watch will with me for a while. always fine without any tragedies again.

i have some principles and they shouldn’t be broke easily.

but if one tells me that i shouldn’t be like this or that. i break my rules.

i found out that i am quite easy to change my original ideas or plans for people.

but then sometimes if i ask someone to do me a favor for changing sth for me.

i will get nothing.

from now on, i will just try to say NO out loud if it’s against my rules.

i couldn’t believe my dear watch was broken.

back to the time when i flew to japan last week, the cover of the watch was gone!!

i didn’t even notice that when i was in the departure lounge.

my eyes were wide opened when i saw the glass cover was gone!!!

i really wanted to cry then. and i started to serch it on the airplane, like a crazy person!

but never ever could find it…

geez, i love that watch so very much.

it’s not an expensive one though. i bought it last year when i was in france.

it means something to me.

right now the minute hand is broken too!!!

i will send it to “a watch hospital” tomorrow before i go to pantomime for 100% sure!

god bless my dear watch, pleaseeeee…..

i’ve never been to any countdown places before but i did this year!

however, i don’t think i will go for it next year :p

you have no idea how many people sit there for waiting the moment.

you have no idea how many “excuse me” you have to say!

oh my goodness! it’s just like there is a war and you are involved in it then.

i have no clue why some people doing it every year. to show their youth? or their braveness?

um…i guess i’m old to do it and have no power to fight with so many people around me.

here are some pics to show u how crazy they are :p and a super short video.

dear all readers,

my english is not well enough to express how i want to say and my feelings for the most of time : p please correct me if i have write something inappropriate. i appreciate : )

i welcome your comments (請多多指教) i don’t know if i translated it correct or not but you all know what i meant, right?

Dear x,

On December 25th it was not only the Christmas day but also our new housekeeper’s birthday.

Few friends invited me to have a party and a special meal together but I refused. I have something more important to do.

A couple weeks ago when i knew A-Lian’s( housekeeper’s name) birthday, I asked my mom if we could do something for her. And my mom agreed. My parents bought a cake to celebrate her birthday. And we bought gifts for her.

It’s time for the cake song. A-Lian only can speak Vietnamese and a little Chinese. In my family, we speak Taiwanese for the most of time but everyone also can speak Chinese. So we decided to sing a birthday song for A-Lian in Chinese.

She is 25 years old but it’s her first time to have a birthday cake. So she has no idea to make wishes before blowing the candles. My parents were TOO excited to teach her how to do it. First of all she didn’t know why my mom kept asking her to close her eyes and telling everyone what she wants. She  couldn’t understand except kept laughing and also everyone. I think they’ve lost their communication. So I asked everyone to calm down. I gave her a “performance” so she got exactly what my parents meant right after that.

From her smile, I knew A-Lian was super happy as I was. If I can have a wish, I wish we can do the same thing together next year:) And I’m sure she can make wishes before blowing candles ^o^

Good night, x.

亲爱的 x,

dear x,

in the morning i discovered a new pot of flower in boss’s garden. it looks like small chrysanthemum but not at all.

when i could never take my eyes off the flower, i found there was a little snail on a leaf.

i told a colleague of mine about what i found. she said it’s better to hide the snail in a secret spot, otherwise our boss will kill it for sure when he notices it.

i think the little one is innocent so it was hided in a secret pot where i think it should be safe. but it turns out i was wrong.

coincidently, my boss pruned that “safe” pot today. the poor small snail must be thrown then.

because after then, i tried to find it but i couldn’t find it anymore.

essentially, i thought i could do it a favor but now i’m a killer. it was undoubtedly my bad.

亲爱的X,

dear x,

tonight’s taipei is very very cold.

after getting off work and punching the clock, i carried my bag and jacket. i ran and ran along the road when i walked out from the office.

the sky has drizzle and an icy wind has blew over my face. at the moment, i realized winter has come to here forthwith.

i was a bit busy at work today so i nearly couldn’t catch the philosophy class.

i don’t like to be late so i ran as fast as i could. i was just on time runnung into the class.

we talked about liberty tonight. i have to say, “i’m not interested in the topic and also feel bored.”

now i’m exhausted and sleepy

晚安, x!

good night, x!

I have had a pleasant day because I ate many things, many yummy things :p

Today is one of my colleague’s birthday. Her name is Shu-fen Tian. People are used to call her Shu-fen but I call her Tian nai nai. Nai nai means grandma in Chinese. After we’ve worked with each other like one month or so. That nickname came up with my mind. She is not old enough to be someone’s grandma yet but I just think Tian with nai nai would be a super cute nickname for her. Um…I should say I’m naughty beacuse I made nicknames for everyone even my boss. :p Anyways, she is an accountant in the company. She works with tons of numbers everyday. I think it’s cool, isn’t it? People only have ten different number characters to run the order but they can create uncountable numerals.

In the lunch time, we rode motorcycles to a sushi bar for celebration. I’ve been to this shop for two times already. I think it’s a nice bar to recommend someone who likes sushi. And it turns out they all love it as I do. We have had two super yummy birthday cakes in the tea time. One colleague ordered Galette des Rois and cassis (a wild berry mousse cake) from a French cake shop.

You have no idea how full I was after two pieces of cakes and about 10 mouthful of sushi. burp…:p

p.s. please check out this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_cake so you know the story of king’s cake. To me, it’s not a cake. It’s more like a pie. And check out the other website so you have an idea about our cakes. http://bruno.xxking.com/products/index.html

On my way to work, an aunt said good morning to me and she is a Taiwanese!! Her warm greeting makes me feel sweet all day long.

In Taipei, I don’t think it’s common to greeting people on the streets unless they know each other.

People live closed to each other but we don’t really talk with our neighbors.

Actually, I feel sad about it.

When I was in Seattle, people gave me a smile and said hi to me.

To be honest, I did feel weird for the first time but few times later, I used to say hi to people with a smile.

The feeling is just great.

When I came back to Taipei, I tried to give people a smile.

As you can guess, it didn’t work here.

Gradually, I don’t do it anymore.

However, I’m going to say hi to the aunt if I will see her tomorrow.

As long as people do greetings to me I will do it with them.

Maybe one day when I walk down the streets in Taipei, I can see people greet each other with a smile.

This pretty is one of my father’s special orchid.

It looks like a princess, doesn’t it?
